SU Honors Students with Leadership Awards

体育买球 University recently honored students, student organizations and faculty with leadership awards.

体育买球’s Leadership Awards were created to recognize awardees’ commitment to the betterment of the university and surrounding communities. The awards are made possible through the Baylor Family Endowment. Established in 1993, the endowment is an expression of the Baylor family’s appreciation for the university’s continued commitment to the region.

Recipients of 体育买球’s 2021 Leadership Awards are:

  • Lynn H. Askew Student Volunteer of the Year: Sydney Mastropasqua ’23, Paramus, New Jersey.
  • Emily E. Bowling Outstanding Student Career in Service: Maggie Perry ’21, Hummelstown, Pennsylvania.
  • Greek Excellence in Service: Samantha Legg ’23, White Haven, Pennsylvania, Sigma Kappa Rho.
  • Greek Member of the Year: Haley Butina ’21, Tyrone, Pennsylvania, Zeta Tau Alpha; Morgan Engler ’22, Lebanon, Pennsylvania, Alpha Pi Omega and Sigma Kappa Rho.
  • New Program Initiative: Claire Townsend ’21, of Philadelphia, for Discussions Around Difference and BSU: Counts.
  • Leadership in Athletics: Ian Reish ’21, of Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania, tennis.
  • Outstanding Contribution to Intercultural Awareness: Sydney Salas ’23, Springfield, Pennsylvania.
  • Organizational President: Malia Simon ’21, Corpus Christi, Texas, president of SU Natives and Allies.
  • ATLAS Award: Jimmy Burden ’21, East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.
  • Outstanding First Year: Barbara Salinas-Trejo, York, Pennsylvania; and Molly Stevens, Sunbury, Pennsylvania.
