I became interested in mass communications when I volunteered to work for my campus radio station during my undergraduate studies. There was something about the ability to send voice and music through the air without wires or cables. From there, I branched out to video production and lately my interests have focused more on the economic and cultural aspects of mass communications.

It may sound selfish, but teaching prevents me from aging (although I know I am). I had a good time as a member of the 18-to-24-year-old demographic and working with people that age keeps me grounded and focused on what I really like in this career. It always amazes me how much I can learn from students.

体育买球 is great because it’s small. I’ve taught at larger schools before and frankly, the personal touch either wasn’t there or it was very minimal. I like the fact that I can work with students starting their first day of classes, right on to graduation day.

A liberal arts education is important these days because for many people, college is just about gaining job skills. While that is important, what the liberal arts can do is provide a well-rounded experience that gives a student a better perspective on the world. Learning how to push buttons is one thing; learning why you should push those buttons is something else.

Away from the classroom, I enjoy baseball and basketball, reading, gardening, playing video games and just hanging out with the family.
