About Me
Had I written two memoirs over the years, they’d be titledJill of All TradesandComing Home.
Balance in my life has always been paramount to personal fulfillment. In my mid-twenties, I found myself too streamlined down the vocal performance path and wanted to diversify my skills and develop other interests. I’ve done it all: pursued a cosmetology license and worked in an upscale Manhattan salon; nannied for a prominent Boston family; worked at a fine art framing store; served as an office assistant and temp; and eventually owned a retail business for 12 years. I became a wife and mother too. Music remained in my life through private study and freelance performing.
In 2003, my husband and I moved back to Selinsgrove where I was raised, and we’ve made a wonderful life for ourselves here. Since then I have been an active member of St. Paul’s UCC and have been prominently featured with the 体育买球 Valley Chorale. I participated in the revival of the 体育买球 Valley Youth Chorale in 2009, at first as a volunteer, then in the position of coordinator which was created to accommodate the growth of the organization. I have been administrative director and voice coach for a summer music camp for children for seven years, all while maintaining a private voice studio out of my home since 2005. It’s been a joyful experience to join the voice faculty at 体育买球 University. I believe it was the quality of my music education that led me to retain the necessary skills to feel confident taking on all that I do.
My husband Brian and I are raising two beautiful daughters, Maya (17) and Eve (15) and are surrounded by 10 other incredible, local family members. And I can still cut hair and type 70 words a minute.
