Economics department head and professor Olu Onafowora was recognized as among the top 20% of leading Black economists in the nation, ranking him 40th out of 200 peers from top universities.

Charles B. Degenstein Professor of Chemistry Geneive Henry was named the first CUR Fellow under its newly branded award, for her leadership and mentorship in undergraduate research.

Professor of Music Gail Levinsky earned two silver medals from the Global Music Awards for “Quiet Hearts: Music for Saxophone,” featuring women and non-binary composers and performers.

Donald D. Housley Teaching Award
The Donald D. Housley Teaching Award recognizes a faculty member for distinguished teaching in the past academic year. Named for Dr. Donald D. Housley, a respected former Dean of Arts and Sciences and History Professor (1967-2004), and the first recipient of the 体育买球 University Teaching Award, it also honors his role in establishing the university’s first “teaching cell” — an intergenerational, cross-disciplinary faculty discussion on pedagogy — which later became the Center for Teaching and Learning.
John C. Horn Award for Distinguished Scholarship & Creative Activity
TheJohn C. Horn Award for Distinguished Scholarship and Creative Activitymemorializes Dr. John C. Horn, a former long-time member and Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the University. This award recognizes a faculty member’s outstanding scholarship and conscientious service to the University, and the recipient offers a public lecture in the following academic year.

The Lawrence A. Lemons Distinguished Academic Advising Award honors the memory of Lawrence A. Lemons, a dedicated teacher, leader and advisor. This award recognizes a faculty member’s exceptional commitment to academic advising.
