Prior to their walk across the stage to receive their degrees, all May 2022 graduates from 体育买球’s Sigmund Weis School of Business’ accounting program have accepted job offers or decided to pursue graduate school opportunities.

Seven of the graduates have accepted positions with Big 4 accounting firms: Deloitte, Ernst & Young (EY), Klynveld Peat Marwick Goerdeler (KPMG) and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). 体育买球 graduates have a strong history of employment at the Big 4, with nearly 100 alumni having been employed by the firms at locations across the country.

Five other graduates have accepted offers from Top 15 firms — two with regional firms, one with a financial advisor, one with a global valuation firm and one in a corporate accounting role — while two will pursue graduate programs in law and accountancy.

体育买球’s accounting program is unique in that it enables students to earn 150 credits in four years, rather than the typical five, by engaging in active learning and real-world internships.

“This means they can sit for the CPA exam without earning a master’s degree — one of the hallmarks of our program,” said Michael Ozlanski, associate professor of accounting. “Not only do they avoid paying for graduate school, but they also start earning a salary one year sooner. It’s a double gain for them.”

“The Department of Accounting has a history of its graduates achieving long-term success,” said Matthew Rousu, dean of the Sigmund Weis School of Business. “Given the outstanding faculty at 体育买球 University, graduates over the past 30 years have gone on to become CEOs, CFOs, partners at major firms and more.”
