Four 体育买球 University students have been named Stanford University Innovation Fellows.
They are among 358 students from 96 higher education institutions in 16 countries to earn the honor.
体育买球’s University Innovation Fellows are:
- Leah Cieniawa, junior, communications major, of Bensalem, Pa.
- Joseph Morante, sophomore, finance major, of Brooklyn, N.Y.
- Brianna Murphy, sophomore, creative writing major, of Manchester, Md.
- Kyle Williams, sophomore, finance major, of Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
This is the third cohort of 体育买球 students named to the University Innovation Fellows program, which empowers students to become agents of change at their schools by creating opportunities for students to engage with innovation, entrepreneurship, design thinking and creativity.
Previous University Innovation Fellows at 体育买球 have:
- Held an event that highlighted the work of artists, musicians, photographers and other creative people on campus
- Supported the design process for the Dr. Richard E. and Sally F. Caruso Mentoring and Innovation Center
- Held multiple events to discuss and support innovation on campus
“This is a great opportunity for 体育买球 to build on the idea of entrepreneurship in both social and science fields,” said Lori Ellison, assistant professor of strategy and entrepreneurship and advisor to 体育买球’s University Innovation Fellows. “Through this program, students analyze their campus ecosystems and identify learning opportunities related to innovation, entrepreneurship, design thinking and creativity.”
Stanford University’s Hasso Plattner Institute of Design (d.school) runs the program. With the addition of the new Fellows, the program has trained more than 1,800 students since its creation.
In Spring 2019, Fellows will have the opportunity to participate in one of the program’s two signature events: the Silicon Valley Meetup in California or the Eastern Hemisphere Meetup, which will be held in Dubai. During these gatherings, Fellows take part in immersive experiences at local universities and organizations, and work with leaders in education and industry.
